Hello, good day everyone. You’re welcome to LIFECLASS. It’s another opportunity to learn from God’s wisdom. James Chapter 1, verse 17, every good and perfect gift come from above. From God the father of lights. The one with whom there is no variableness, neither any shadow of turning.
Hmmm, now talking about light and darkness. Today’s LIFECLASS is ‘Few Minutes To Abundance‘. For every heavy rain that falls, there’s a brief moment of darkness in the clouds. In today’s LIFECLASS, I want to talk about that momentary dark moment we experience when it’s time for our abundance to rain. This moment can be a form of confusion, despair, temptation to continue in one sin or the other or to go back into an addiction. It could be some terrible illness or pain, but I tell you, you have overcome them all in Jesus’ Name.
In 1 Kings 18:45, that same wonderful scripture we’ve been following for a month, the Bible says the sky became black with clouds and wind and then there was heavy rain! Now, have you checked that up? Have you seen it? This dark moment that precedes your abundance could be a period of delay, outright rejection, disappointment or failure that happens just a moment to your abundance. Please beware of such moments, they are always a snare, to prolong your journey and keep you from entering your abundance. For Joseph, That moment came when he had to chose to go to prison instead of sleeping with his master’s wife. Little did he realize that the prison was where he would be called to inherit the wealth of the Gentiles. Those moments are moments of decision and moments of examination. They precede your gush of abundance. Rely on the Holy Spirit within you. Obey his promptings and do his will because he will surely lead you. You will not fail in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
I told you some time ago that there’s no success story without a failure episode. When rain is about to fall and the heaven turns dark, it’s not bad news, its actually good news. In 1 Kings chapter 17 verse 12, just a few hours before the widow of Zarephath hit her abundance after feeding the man of God with her last meal, she actually thought she was going to die with her son, after eating the last portion of food she had available. It turned out she wouldn’t die after all. She would have abundance instead.
Let me proclaim to you that you will not die in that situation in Jesus’ Name. That sickness will not kill you. Poverty is not your uniform, it doesn’t matter how hard it seems. If you’ve been following this Gush of Abundance series, then trust me, the present negative situation that you may be in now is certainly the last one that precedes your gush of abundance. It’s the darkness in the clouds that precedes your heavy rain.
In 2 Kings chapter 6, there was another famine in Israel, this time it was so severe that people ate their own children. The Lord had made the Syrian army flee upon hearing noise from heaven. Therefore leaving so much abundance behind.
In chapter 7 verse 4, just a few hours before discovering the bounty, those 4 lepers who discovered the abundance, had a sad story before the discovery.
They decided to keep moving despite the circumstance. It was a dark moment for them, but they made a decision to stay strong and trust God, despite the situation. Little did they know that their abundance was only a few minutes away. Hear what they said to themselves.
If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
They had a moment of darkness, a moment of decision, a moment where they had to tell themselves the truth and face their fears, but also a moment where they had to see the brighter side of things. Maybe they probably remembered Psalm Chapter 24 verse 5 – Thou prepared a table (of food) before me in the presence of my enemies!!
See LIFECLASS, you will not die but live, just as the lepers didn’t die. In Psalm Chapter 118 verse 17, the Bible says you will proclaim the works of God instead. That sickness may have been planned by the devil to rob you of the coming abundance. But that’s a big joke, you’re pulling through, completely healed in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
You see, the words of the lepers may not be your own exact words, but what I’m talking about today is not what you don’t know, only that you may not have made the best decisions during those moments of darkness, because you failed to realize that such moments are the final moments before your rain of abundance. The lepers decided to move into an unknown zone where they believed there would be something to live for, rather than stay on one spot or return to the city where their only fate was to die of hunger. I think you should do the same. Quit sobbing or lamenting or complaining or fighting or saying ‘had I known’ and move forward, live for something noble, even if you don’t know what’s coming ahead.
That moment of darkness and confusion you’re experiencing is the last episode that precedes your rain of abundance if only you understand. You’ve had faith all along, and hung in there without giving up. Now, your faith is under test, it has to be the strongest. You have to be desperate enough to whether this last storm. After this, comes your gush!
Just like the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings chapter 17 verse 12, the lepers, weren’t going to die after all, little did they realize that their abundance was just around the corner, a few minutes away. God had made sure of that by chasing away the Syrians with a strange noise and the table was set for them. Abundance was waiting for them free of charge. It’s waiting for you too. In verse 8, they literally swam in abundance, ate until they were filled, got more than enough gold and silver and clothing and, just name it. It’s one of the best examples of a gush of abundance I’ve seen so far in the scriptures. They were blessed with so much within such a little time. If they had succumbed to fear and refused to stay strong and take their chances, they would have wasted God’s grace and they would have failed the nation that was in famine, for whom God actually made the abundance. But thank God they knew they were a critical part of the fulfillment of prophecy. The prophecy of abundance declared by prophet Elisha in 2 Kings chapter 7 verse 1.
So you now see that your story is a significant portion of a bigger story. You’re a crucial part of a prophecy that must come to pass. If you quit or fail to get it right or choose not to wait for the abundance that’s just right ahead of you, you have failed your family, your generation, your nation, or perhaps, the whole world. What is at stake here is bigger than you. Are you seeing the bigger picture? Quitting at this time only makes you selfish. God will then be out looking for someone else to fulfill that which you failed at, Please don’t let that happen, be the one to birth that abundance, because that prophecy of abundance over you must be fulfilled, whether you cooperate or you don’t. I told you earlier that abundance is never for one person. Things may seem the hardest for you now, but that’s because you’re in the last moment that precedes abundance, you’re only seeing the dark skies that precede the falling of heavy rain! Close your eyes, and say. No! I will not quit in Jesus’ Name.
In Matthew chapter 26 verse 39, our Lord Jesus himself also had his brief moment of darkness. Just a few minutes to the cross, he almost wished that the cup passed from him, but No, he realized that it wasn’t about him. It was a bigger cause, the salvation of the whole human race, so he quickly said, Never the less, let your will be done.
Hear this again, Psalms 23 verse 5:
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Can you imagine? He has prepared a table for you right in the presence of your enemies. That doesn’t look like you can run away from the enemies. You have to summon the courage and faith to sit down confidently and look them in the face and enjoy the delicious meal that God has prepared for you. I’m talking to someone here. Fear Not, he that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. That is when you will receive the anointing and your overflow comes right after that — hmmm, thou anoints my head with oil and my cup runneth over.
So LIFECLASS, Say Lord Jesus, I thank you For this abundance that’s about to gush in me. I look around me, and my abundance is just one post away, the darkness I see now is the dark sky that precedes the rain. I will hang in here Lord and here comes my abundant of rain. My head is anointed with your oil of gladness and my cup runs over, I receive that overflow, in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen!
But please wait, our God is the father of light. Sin hangs you eternally in darkness. Heaven is prepared for those who cross from darkness into light. Have you given your life to Jesus? Or would you like to come back to him? It’s the best decision you’d ever make. Say, Lord Jesus, I thank you for shining this light into my Heart. I present myself before you and repent of my sins. I receive your forgiveness and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for saving me. I’m glad to be yours in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
And with that, we wrap up the class today. Remain blessed as you join me again next time. In Jesus Name, Amen!
