Many thanks for joining LIFECLASS today; it is always a pleasure having you in class. Thank you very much. Father, we thank you for this opportunity to receive wisdom and power from you, again, we bless your name, and we know that at the end of this class, we would have received everything you have for us. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
In the last LIFECLASS, we understood and we saw that sometimes our gush of abundance has been released from Heaven but instead of getting to us, it is currently being occupied by some people, some other power, some other forces and as we were taught yesterday, we order such agents, such occupations to vacate our gush of abundance. We actually saw that in the example of the lepers, the four lepers who rose up and charged forward toward the camp of the Syrians and on their way, the Syrians heard a loud noise as though it was coming from three nations hired against them and they were forced to flee their tent, at the end of the day, there was abundance (for the starving nation of Israel).
Today, I want to talk to you about something very important, still following that trail, the scripture on the four lepers. In 2 Kings Chapter 7 verse 8, this time around and the Bible says these lepers came to the outskirt of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank. You know I told you that yesterday and carried from it silver and gold and clothing, and then they went and hid them. Then they came back and entered another tent, and carried some from there also and went to hid it. Today’s LIFECLASS is titled: Share the Good News!
Listen to verse 9, the Bible says, they said to one another, we are not doing right, today is a day of good news and we remain silent, if we wait until morning light, some punishment would come upon us. Wow! Now, therefore, let us go and tell the king’s household. I remember the scripture where Apostle Paul says, “Woe unto me if I preach not the gospel. In 1 Corinthians Chapter 9 verse 16, Apostle Paul talking here said “For if I preach the gospel I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me. Yes, woe is me if I preach not the gospel”. That is exactly what these lepers were saying here. They said we are not doing right, this day is a day of good news and we remain silent, if we remain until morning light, some punishment would come upon us. Now, therefore, let go and tell the king’s household and got to the gate of the city and said “we went to the Syrian camp and surprisingly no one was there, not even a human sound, only horses and donkeys tied and the tents intact” and the gatekeepers called out and reached to the king’s household.
What we are trying to say today is that your abundance is a tool for sharing the good news, for sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Know we have been talking about the gush of abundance; the abundance is coming upon you but the primary reason why you are receiving it, maybe you don’t know. It’s so that you can share the good news, your abundance is so that you can share the good news, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even the lepers knew that much, they said what we are doing is not right, remember in verse 8, they had been carrying all they saw and hiding it. They got a lot and they kept hiding them, they would go back, carry more and hid them. At a point, they called themselves to order and said “oh! What we are doing is not right; we are not doing the right thing. Today is a day of good news and we remain silent”.
Today I want to ask you a question, are you remaining silent? Who have you shared the story of your abundance with? Or who are you willing to share it with? When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. So when you receive abundance, prepare your heart that the first thing you are going to do is to share the good news of your abundance. As a matter of fact, LIFECLASS today as it is, it’s a product of sharing the good news of some abundance that the Lord has visited me with, in the last few months or years. I am so excited about it that I couldn’t keep it to myself; I said: “no, let me begin to share it”.
Sometimes God looks at your heart when you begin to share the good news of that abundance, Write it down if it’s a yes. Say in your heart how you want to go about sharing that good news, everything must be prepared for. You must share the good news of your abundance. You must be prepared to share the good news of your abundance, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. I give you an example of what I’m talking about. God blesses you and you have all of these things that you’re waiting for.
We have been talking about the gush of abundance for the past a month, and we are about to round it off in the next two LIFECLASSES, so I want to tell you before the end of the series that the primary purpose of your abundance is so that you can make it a tool for sharing the good news. The lepers came to the outskirt of the camp, they went to the tents where the Syrians had fled, and surprisingly to them, everything looked silent, no human word, but abundance was waiting for them free of charge. They started getting everything they could get and hiding them.
Now, that’s a problem with many of us, we believe that we are suffered for long, waited for long and passed through a lot; and then all of a sudden your abundance starts gushing and sometimes when it starts gushing slowly and then heavily, and you say, oh No! If only you know what I’ve gone through. O Yea! We may not know what you have gone through but we know the reason you have gone through it is so that you can share the good news. We know that the reason God had made you see all of those experiences, made you wait and learned all He wants you to learn before you got the abundance is so you could get it and make it a tool for sharing the good news. If the lepers had focused only on what they had been through, they would not share any good news. Remember that these lepers were banished to the outskirt of the city. Usually in those days, lepers were not allowed to live in the city, they were banished to the outskirt of the city and so they were in the outskirt of the city and everybody in the city were also hungry but you can imagine, one who is at the outskirt would be hungrier, they would be more desperate, we wouldn’t even know maybe they were more than four, maybe a few of them had died, and these four were the only ones that remained. They had waited, suffered, lived in hunger, maybe some of them had even gone and all of a sudden, they thought to themselves, what the people in the city could never have thought. They said to themselves “let us not stay here and die, let us move forward, if we move to the camp of the Syrians, by the grace of God, maybe God will give us favour in their sight. They summoned courage even the kind of courage that the people in the city, the king and all of them could not summon. They summoned courage and charged forward as though they were going to end their lives but they had faith. They moved forward and forward and got to the camp of the Syrians. Look at all they had gone through; they’ve been neglected, they’ve been banished to the outskirt of the city and they have suffered. Maybe they even crawled to the camp of the Syrians and on getting there, God answered their prayer and there was abundance. Can you imagine? At first, they thought to themselves, “oh what an abundance! Let’s begin to hide it” and they started hiding it.
The same thing with many of us, we get this good news, we get all of this abundance, and we want to hide it, we don’t want people to see or hear, we don’t even want it to bless anyone. We say “Oh, if you know what I went through?” There is an African adage that says if a hunter thinks of how much suffering he went through hell before killing his prey, he will not give anybody. A lot of people behave like that. We think, Oh I’ve gone through a lot if you know how many years I put into getting this Ph.D. or this degree. I cannot give anything for free. You must work for it. A lot of us want to put on people the same pressure that was put on us on our way to abundance. NO! It’s not supposed to be like that. If you think about what you’ve gone through, you will not even be good to anyone. If you think about what you have experienced in the past before getting to where you are, you will not even talk to anybody, not to talk of remembering to share the good news. If the lepers had thought about what they went through, how hard it had been for them, they would continue hiding. But at a point, they called themselves to order.
Today, you have to call yourself to order. You have to remember that even though you’re still awaiting this abundance or if it has started gushing on you little by little, you remember that the primary purpose of your abundance is so you can share the good news, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you ready to make your abundance a tool for sharing the good news? If you are, then there will be more. The Bible says “how beautiful are the feet of those that spread the good news”. Yes! Let me show you again in verse 9, “Then they said to one another, we are not doing right, the day is a day of good news”.
So I pronounce on you that today is the day of your own good news also. I want you to begin to go out and share the good news of how the Lord Jesus has moved you from obscurity to limelight, how He has moved you from poverty to wealth, how He moved you from sickness to health. Your abundance or whatever goodness you have received from God, it is primarily a tool for sharing the good news, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. You need to believe and do like these lepers and move out. It is not right, what you are doing is not right by keeping all of those good things that God has given you to yourself. It is not right. Let no day pass by without sharing that good news of how God has made you what you are today.
You need to share the good news of your abundance, and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Say, Lord Jesus, I will not hide your goodness as I await your gush of abundance, I’m ready to make it a tool for sharing the good news, for sharing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much; I receive the power to do that in Jesus’ name. Amen! Yes, if you are here and you’ve not given your life to Jesus, believe me, what you are hearing is good news. It is my own way of sharing that good news with you and I’m glad that as you receive this good news, you’ll also share it with others. You need to give your life to Jesus so you can also have good news to share, the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Say, Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I repent of my sins, I’m glad that you have saved me; you have died for me on the cross. I receive your forgiveness and my name is written in the book of life. I receive this good news and I’m going to begin to be sharing it from today also in Jesus’ name. Amen! Hallelujah! Yea, our class today is just simple, share the good news. One way to share this good news is to share LIFECLASS. Invite someone to LIFECLASS and you’ll be blessed for doing that. Remain blessed as you join me in the next LIFECLASS in Jesus’ name. Amen!
